Here is why you don’t want to do this alone!
- The first thing you should know about Cancun airport is that it is no different than other famous tourist destinations regarding immigration lines. Same as Mexico City, Miami etc., lines get really long and usually take an average of up to two hours to pass through immigration considering best case scenarios that forms are handed during flight, no mistake has been made filling them out and you happen to have a pen.
- Next step is to wait and collect checked-in baggage which is extremely time consuming and crowded. This is a very tiring process especially after a long flight when you are anxious to get to the final destination. Things turn more challenging if you travel with a number of pieces and there isn’t anyone to assist you collecting and carrying them out to your vehicle especially because carts are not allowed to leave the airport even if you find one available.
- Final stop, Customs ! The process of Customs is not to be taken lightly. Especially if language is a barrier because Mexico has very strict policies on importing goods from abroad. The government protects its citizens and country from all possible illegal items brought in, therefore Customs in Mexico stops and checks more than 50% of the people entering by opening all luggage pieces performing a detailed review of all content which results in more time lost from another tiring process before you can finally try to find your way out of the airport and head to your final destination.
You cannot control the invedible process, but you can let us take your hand and breeze you right through it !
